Read that teleprompter, go Joe go.
Give us all the knowledge, you don’t know.
Read it like you know it, like you understand.
Read it like you wrote it, in your own hand.
Like it all originated in your own head.
Read it with emotion, not like the brain dead.
Try to blink your eyes, unfixate that stare.
Read it with some emotion, like you really care.
Read it like there’s living bodies in front of you.
Read it without mumbling, like you always do.
Read that teleprompter, go Joe go.
We know you can do it, put on a show.
We know you rehearsed it, so read it well.
Don’t give us the impression, you’re mentally ill.
Add a little life to your deadpan expression.
Try to look more serious, like you’re at confession.
Try to have conviction in what you’re saying.
Not like it’s someone elses message you’re relaying.
Read it like you want it to be believed.
Maybe we wouldn’t think we’re being deceived.
Read that teleprompter, you go Joe.
Read it, then shuffle off to wherever you go.
