Still Proud

I'm proud to be an American, except at times like these.
When our president, the traitor, sold us out to the Chinese.
He took our trust in government and threw it in our face.
While hiding in the basement, in his favorite safe space.
When justice is only words, used when pandering for votes.
When our White House is occupied by drugged up randy goats.
When the FBI is weaponized, to persecute the innocent.
When hypocisy is rampant and truth's no longer relevant.
When the food needed for survival, costs an arm and leg.
When the government will feed us, if on our knees we beg.
When we're on the eve of destruction, rushing into WW3.
When the government tells us, just who we're gonna be.
Yes, I'm proud to be American, where I can no longer travel.
Where every day I watch as our basic rights unravel.
Where our flag is dishonored, our national anthem abused.
Where our God is daily mocked and Satan has been loosed.
Where the innocent are jailed and the guilty have sore wrists.
Where those who dare to object, find their names on lists.
Where communism's welcomed, against the people's will.
Where the city has been razed, that was shining on the hill.
I'm so proud to be American, at least I still can dream.
Until the dream becomes a nightmare and I wake up and scream.
I'm proud of what we were, not so much of what we've become.
I still love the constitution and I will always beat that drum.
I will always love America, the republic where I'm from.
I'm not proud of of our leaders, this current crop of scum.
It's hard to respect the morons and their stupid commie deals.
I would love to see my dogs piss on these democrat big wheels.

  1. I’m still proud in spite of all the crazy stuff that’s going on, but you make a lot of good points.

  2. YOU HAVE WRITTEN JUST AS I SEE THINGS ALSO. NO GREATER NATION HAS EVER BEEN FORMED. BUT AS ALL THINGS DIE WE STILL MUST FIND WAYS TO KEEP LIFE, GOOD LIFE GOING. THE BEST TEACHINGS, OR RULES OF LIFE ARE FOUND IN THE BIBLE, WHICH OUR FOUNDERS WERE GUIDED BY. THAT SHOULD TELL US SOMETHING. RULES ARE NOT MADE TO BE BROKEN, BUT TO GUIDE US TO PROSPERITY.

    • Hi Nancy. Check out my book on Amazon or Barnes and Noble. It’s title is Garbled Crock’s Satire. I’m Nearly through with my second book also. I have over 800 poems now.
