I saw Joe on the tube today, I was impressed.
My first thought was, we sure are blessed.
His speech was impeccable, his diction divine.
I caught myself thinking, "I wish they were mine"

His eyes were wide open and so sparkling blue.
Such strength of character, shining right through.
His message was brief, he got straight to the gist.
For anyone listening, his point could not be missed.

His gestures were meaningful, backed up his words.
He would not be accused of tossing out turds.
 He read off a teleprompter, He'd been well trained.
He was well rested  did not come off, "hare-Brained"

He did not lose his temper, not once sounding mean.
He was firmly in charge, controlling the scene.
The crowd seemed enamored, completely enthralled.
Jill was so proud of Joe, She openly bawled.

Joe answered all questions, though none were asked.
It was amazing, the way he multi-tasked.
The press conference over, Joe wanted to stay.
He read off the prompter, it says "walk away"

Briefly I saw it, rebellion in Joe's eyes.
He wanted to stay and read us more lies.
But Joe was trained well and wobbled away.
I wasn't left wondering if he was okay.

YEAH RIGHT!
